Crisis

Ghosh’s entry titled ‘Crisis’ was selected to participate in Artiade 2004 (the Olympics of Visual Arts that runs simultaneously with the Games every four years). Artists were urged to enter works based on a strong socio-political context from their country. The context of Crisis is: ground-water levels are going down alarmingly and there will soon be a time when tubewells will be useless. The sculpture is on permanent display at the Plaka in front of the Acropolis Temple at Athens.
